Top 10 must-see games of 2009 from FoxSports.com. The #1 ranked game to “must-see”…can I get tickets from anyone (at a reasonable price)? On second thought, the new 42″ HD televison might be the best, most comfortable seat at the game (I’ve been to the Cotton Bowl – my couch is unlike any seat I’ve had a butt in at the Cotton Bowl).

and then their are these websites….Texas vs. Oklahoma or if you prefer, Oklahoma vs. Texas already hyping the game.

Besides the coveted Heisman, college football has several other awards each year that some may not be aware of (and I would hate to see you lose sleep over not realizing the bountiful opportunities for CFB athletes each year):

  • Davey O’Brien Award (quarterback)
  • Doak Walker Award (running back)
  • Ray Guy Award (punter)
  • Jim Thorpe Award (defensive back)
  • Walter Camp Award (top overall player)
  • Fred Biletnikoff Award (wide receiver)
  • Outland Trophy (interior lineman)
  • Lou Groza Award (kicker)
  • Chuck Bednarik Award (defensive player)
  • Robert Maxwell Award (all-around player)

They already have the preseason “watch” list started for each.

Because they may have little else to root for, leave it to the ACC to publish their own special “watch” list for their conference:

MOST IMPROVED: Josh Nesbitt, Georgia Tech
MOST CONSISTENT: Riley Skinner, Wake Forest
MOST ACCURATE: Russell Wilson, NC State
BEST ARM: Kyle Parker, Clemson
BEST FEET: Tyrod Taylor, Virginia Tech
BEST FOOTBALL IQ: Thaddeus Lewis, Duke
MOST INJURY PRONE: (tie) Wilson, Taylor
